Bauxite ore is the world’s primary source of aluminium. The ore must first be chemically processed to produce alumina (aluminium oxide).
Calcined Bauxite is obtained by calcining (heating) superior grade Bauxite at high temperatures that ranges from 850 °C to 1600 °C. This process removes moisture, hence increasing the alumina content.Raw bauxite has an alumina content of 57-58% while calcined bauxite has an alumina content of 80-88%.Calcined Bauxite is used as a raw material for manufacturing fused alumina and high alumina refractories and has the following properties
low impurities,
high bulk density
tough and hard grains
Consistent and homogenized texture
The specifications of the various types of calcined bauxite that we can offer are shown in the table.

White fused mullite is produced by fusing high purity alumina and silica together in an electric arc furnace. It contains low impurities and is very stable even at high temperatures. It has a low coefficient of thermal expansion which results in a product with excellent thermal shock resistance and resistance to deformation under load. It can be used in the following industries.
Refinery & petrochemicals
Glass
Refractory
